The Mogden works cover an area of about 120 acres in South West London. It is the second largest Sewage Works run by Thames Water. It was built in 1936 on Mogden Farm between Twickenham and Isleworth and it now treats the effluent of about 1.8 million people from a wide area North and West of London. For many years residents over a large area have complained about the smell emanating from the works, known locally as the Mogden Pong. Thames Water and local community groups are attempting to find a solution to these problems. This independent website looks at the Mogden processes and provides an opportunity for views to be expressed in public.
